Pitching a Markedly Bold Menu Reinvention

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers has officially announced the launch of its a new menu, which now features this year’s hottest food trend i.e. spicy and swicy (sweet and spicy). More on the same would reveal how the new menu comes bearing a gourmet burger, three new wing sauces, hand-crafted premium cocktails as well as shareable desserts. Starting from the Red Robin’s new gourmet burger, named as Jalapeño Heatwave, the dish in question basically brings forth a slow burn that builds with each bite. In essence, it packs together grilled jalapeño, pepper-jack cheese, caramelized onion, green chili aioli, and freshly smashed avocado with red pepper flakes, topped with crispy fried jalapeño coins for a satisfying crunch. Joining Red Robin’s existing lineup of more than 20 gourmet burgers, Jalapeño Heatwave is to be served alongside a choice of Bottomless side, with possible options being Red Robin’s signature Steak Fries, to coleslaw, broccoli, side salads, and more. The next new item we have here is ultra-spicy Scorpion sauce onto Wings. Having drawn its basis from Red Robin’s spiciest gourmet burger i.e. Scorpion Burger, these new wings are crisp and made to order. Beyond that, they are also the spiciest wings on Red Robin’s menu till date.

However, if someone doesn’t want that, they can opt for a milder alternative in the all-new Garlic Parmesan or Sea Salt & Pepper wings. Regardless of which one they pick, though, they all are likely to be served on a bed of Yukon Chips and with a side of dipping sauce.

“Red Robin is known for its innovative culinary creations and ability to put a unique twist on classics like burgers and wings, and we did just that with our latest menu items,” said Brian Sullivan, Executive Chef and VP of Culinary & Beverage Innovation at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers. “This menu explores spice in many different forms. There’s bold, upfront spice that will make your lips burn with our new Scorpion wings, there’s dimensional, multi-layered heat with grilled and fried jalapeños and cooling freshly smashed avocado with red pepper flakes in the Jalapeño Heatwave Burger, and there’s a warm spice of cinnamon-spiced citrus in our Sangria Roja. There’s really something for everyone to enjoy!”

Moving on, like we briefly touched on, Red Robin also took this opportunity to launch a variety of hand-crafted shareable desserts. These desserts happen to include a Shortbread Chocolate Soufflé Cake, which is markedly made with one of the finest chocolates in the world, the Callebaut chocolate. Understood to be two desserts in one, Red Robin’s half rich, buttery shortbread cookie and half chocolate soufflé cake is further topped with ice cream, hot fudge and whipped cream, and at last, it is dusted with powdered sugar. The next dessert set to join the company’s menu is Lemon Cream Layer Cake. A bright and refreshing lemon cake, this one is layered with scratch-made lemon curd and lemon cream cheese frosting. Once that bit is done, it is then dusted with lemon sugar and served on strawberry purée, all of it complemented through whipped cream.

Beyond desserts, Red Robin is also set to bring multiple new beverages. Here, you can expecting a Passion Fruit Mojito, which features freshly muddled mint, lime juice, passion fruit purée, Bacardi Superior rum, and club soda. After the drink is ready, it is further garnished with fresh mint. Joining that is new Classic Mojito, bringing to the customer freshly muddled mint, lime juice, simple syrup, Bacardi Superior rum, and club soda, garnished with fresh mint. Rounding up highlights is Sangria Roja. Making a comeback to the Red Robin’s menu, Sangria Roja is made using 14 Hands merlot, Hennessy cognac, cranberry juice, and cinnamon-spiced citrus, all of it then garnished with an orange wheel and a lime wedge.

Founded in 1969, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers has been consistently providing its customers with top-notch taste, and the same can be validated upon considering that the brand now has more than 500 restaurants across US and beyond.
